Summer Fest Morning Camps

Fine Arts Camp

$75

Calendar Jul 16, 2018 at 9 am, runs for 1 week

Students will participate in the following classes during their week at Fine Arts Camp:

Jumpin', Jammin' and Drummin'!     Led by:  Kate Smith      

If you enjoy music and instruments, then we'll get you movin' and groovin' with basic hand drumming and percussion, rhythm games and songs.

ART-Tastic        Led by:  Linda Williams  

Your artistic skils will shine as you work on a special print-making art project to take home. 

                                                         

 

International Camp

International Camp will consist of the following 2 classes:

World Travelers       Led by: Karen Ellis   

Want to be a World Traveler?  Grab your passport and join us as we visit Africa, Australia, Italy and Mexico!  Each day experience a new culture, new traditions, explore animal life native to the land and of course there's the FOOD!  Don't miss out on a week full of adventure!

Crafts for Kids    Led by:  Lori Silvey       

What's a trip without a souvenir?  During Crafts for Kids you will have the opportunity to make a keepsake that will remind you of the country you visited that day.  Let's make an African Mask and an Australian Rain Stick--of course we will also be making a special project from Italy and Mexico, but you'll have to register to find out what they are!  REGISTER NOW!!

*Classes will be divided into 2 age groups: Ages 6-8 and 9-12.

 

Life Skills Camp

Give your child the advantage of knowing the basic life skills of cooking and sewing.  Life Skills Camp will do just that with the following 2 classes:

Sew Fabulous:           Led by Debra Huffman  

Have fun learning the basics of sewing!  By the end of the week you will be able to impress your friends not only with your new found sewing skills, but with an awsome sewing project YOU Sewed Fabulously!   (The age 9-12 group will need to bring a sewing machine to class.)

Kids in the Kitchen:     Led by Patricia Dawson    

Today's kids are taking over the kitchen as seen on popular tv shows such as Kid's Baking Championship and Chopped Junior. This class will get your child started off on the right foot by teaching them the skills of reading a recipe, measuring ingredients and of course they will be cooking up lots of fun with their friends!  Don't miss out--get registered NOW!

Science Camp

Imagine That! Science Camp will consist of a Classroom Science class and a Science Lab class.

Classroom Science:      Led by- Tami Bernard  

Investigate a crime scene, find out what a root beer float has to do with the state of matter, discover how different body organs work and better yet, let's make an organ!  These are just a few things that you will be doing during Classroom Science!

Science Lab:                  Led by- Kim Hendrix    

Explore living things, how energy affects us and how matter changes.  Lab time will help trigger your curiosity and learn to solve problems.

Sports Camp- Basketball

Basketball Camp is a great opportunity for 3rd- 6th grade boys and girls to improve their basketball skills.  Offense will focus on ball handling, passing, shooting, catching and footwork.  Defense will focus on individual skills, the team concept, rebounding and backboard skills.  Don't miss this great opportunity to work with Coach Pierce!

Sports Camp- Cheerleading Ages 6-8

CHEER!  We are excited to offer a Cheerleading class during Sports Camp week.  This class will include cheers, chants, jumps and dance.  Students will also learn correct techniques and form as well as what being a cheerleader truly means.  Come join the Blytheville Cheerleaders as they CHEER you on to becoming an awesome CHEERleader!

Tech Camp

It will be a Techie kind of week with Robotics and Graphic Design classes filling your techie's week.  Participants will build their own Lego Robot and learn the basics of programming as they prepare to battle with fellow campers.  They will also head to the Computer Lab where they will create and publish an original work.  This camp will allow your child to grow in their critical thinking and creativity skills while having a blast!  Don't miss out- REGISTER NOW!
